An Honest Update

I am so grateful for a lot of things in my life. One of those things is the opportunity for trial-and-error.

“Oh god. What happened,” you seem to say.

As most of you know, we were unable to go live with our IndieGoGo campaign on February 5th as originally planned. I have let everyone know that we will need more time to get things set up and ready. We may be a small studio, but that doesn’t mean we ain’t about quality. We want to put our best foot forward for everyone.

What’s funny about this, though, is that the hiatus wound up being a blessing in disguise. For you see… the demo we have been working on for over six months now has suddenly lost all of its coding.

Yeah...

Thankfully, we still have all of our artwork and music and voice clips saved. It’s just for some reason, the coding software we’re using decided to just take up its hat and coat and disappear in the middle of the night. Off to get milk and forgot to come back, I guess. So, our wonderful wizard of a coder has been hard at work at RE-WRITING THE ENTIRE CODE for the demo in these past couple weeks.

I mean, we have contingency plans; we saved funds for emergencies such as these, we’re all good. Just tedium at this point. I’m happy that this hiatus can also be used for our wonderful coder to take his time and not overwork himself. Even if we weren’t on hiatus before, we would definitely be on one now for the coder’s sake.

All that to say, it’s good that we are taking the time to create a demo. That way, we may correctly gauge how much work is required, how long the final product may take us, how our expenses may look, and what to look out for in the future.

Now we can say for sure that we will have a back-up back-up file for our game once book one is being created. Haha!

Things are back on track. Again, I’ll let everyone know on social media when our new IndieGoGo page will go live. Thanks for all your support and patience!
